Cross a jazz singer/songwriter with an experimental noize DJ and you get HIPHOP??? How did that happen? Add to the mix, a strong political view, a shared contempt for John Howard, two dirty minds and a lesbian and you have Mass Debate. An energetic and bizarre Hiphop act that has set out to capture and challenge the minds of all who cross their path. Overtly charged with political and sexual innuendo, but far from being a filthy, mind-numbed listening experience, Mass Debate aim to shock (maybe even offend), and educate the audience on what so many people think, but just can't get up and say... We think music is a perfect vehicle for this and we've chosen to drive it recklessly on the edge of a cliff.
