Matt has performed at many solo shows from small pub gigs to the large arenas in front of thousands of people. Beginning a lifetime of music at the young age of 4 singing for family and friends, Matt found he had caught the music bug. He furthered his talents first learning to play the guitar at the age of 6. Matt formed several high school bands at Western Heights College in Geelong, and after high school went on to write and record with, Nik Janev, his uncle, in the local band Fishtank. Fishtank played several gigs in Geelong at venues such as "The Railway Hotel" and "The Barwon Club", just to name a few. Matt and Nik parted ways in 2004 to move on to bigger and better things, while occasionally reuniting for special requests. After a death in the family in mid 2005, Matt took a large break from playing gigs and went on to writing... and writing... and writing. After some extreme soul searching, he started playing gigs again. Finally he completed all the songs for his debut album
