Matt Sitas started playing guitar and writing songs in primary school. In 2013 Matt played in Bad Porn (with Spike Vincent), and formed his own psychedelic blues rock band, Civil Serpents. Matt went on to study a musicology degree at USyd. In 2018, Matt recorded and wrote an album called 707s & Hell & Heaven. The album intersects pop ideas with heavy music and electronic dreams. Matt's 2019 EP, So I Can Free Them takes a broader view of genre, which has fuzz-drenched grunge zones sharing a bed with sweet folk pop harmonies. Matt plays some of his recorded music and some music yet to be recorded with his band of friends in Sydney. <em>@mattsitas on IG </em>
