"Music is what the soul sounds like..." Born in Cape Town, South Africa. Raised in Melbourne, Australia. Drawing on various unavoidable influences from the likes of Bob Dylan, Jon Foreman, Joni Mitchel, Laura Marling, and Rodriguez - Matt Lister's songs are honest and poetic with wonderfully strange lyrics, lightly garnished with the philosophical quirks of a rambling man.
