In the past six years Matthew Macinante has become a fixture in the Brisbane club scene. Formerly one half of the successful tech-house production duo “Morale”, who held multiple releases on Long Distance Recordings & Central station records, Matthew begun pursuing a solo career in 2010. With a number of infectiously fun, effervescent remixes and originals on Onelove, Central Station Records, Shabang! and Ho-ju Recordings, and many more in production, Matthew has quickly developed his own take on club music. Amongst the last generation to cut their teeth on vinyl, Matthew was performing well before the “hour of power” was the standard set length. Patience and timing are the cornerstones of which he builds his sets, and unlike many of his peers, is quite comfortable performing for extended periods. His combination of house, techno and progressive have granted him residencies at a number of major clubs and festivals, with his talent for turntable trickery proving itself repeatedly.
