Mauvaise Foi is a rock duo formed by russian singer/songwriter Yana Amur and australian guitarist Kalon Salter. Mauvaise Foi is a philosophical concept used by existentialist philosophers to describe the phenomenon where human beings under pressure from social forces adopt false values and disown their innate freedom, hence acting inauthentically. The idea behind the band is to create an outlet for poetry that describes feelings and emotions that are considered too dramatic in Australian society.
