Maxwell Jxhn’s no stranger to Australia’s thriving local music scene, singing & playing guitar in emo rock bands since 16, he would go onto tour extensively across the East Coast into his 20’s. After developing a standout vocal ability through his touring circuit, Jxhn found himself looking outside of the heavy music world and began chasing a solo career that would place him front and centre. Maxwell would find Sydney alt. Pop produced Nat J. Sherwood (Sarah Saint James, Sinclaire & Up Late) who recognised his strong vocal ability and wide and varied musical background. Throughout 2020 and 2021 the two would craft singles that balance the ever-shrinking line between emo rock and modern pop music. Blending his roots with with the chart-topping sounds of artists like Panic at The Disco or Fall Out Boy, Maxwell Jxhn’s latest offering 'Real' fuses emotional guitar licks alongside Nat J. Sherwood’s smooth and polished production to create songs that speak to emo and pop listeners alike!
