Tom Loss started the May 5th, 1813 project in a pitiful attempt to imitate music hero merzbow. As time (and his tastes) progressed, Tom started to model his music on ambient, post-rock, and drone. Various collaborations (with artists such as sydney's Scissor Lock and perth's And Then The Dead Girl Screamed) help broaden his musical scope to create what May 5th, 1813 is today: alien soundscapes, wordless euphoria and a disdain for tradition.
