Mayday way hey is a three piece collaboration consisting of: Anso(phie) Parrod -pressed in Paris- on vocals and strings, Alex Madigan (ex Where’s the Pope) – S.A. / Newcastle - on drums and Gavin Farley (ex Slowburners/Plain Great Road, Death in Monaro Country) Newcastle on bass. Anso started writing Mayday Way Hey songs in Sydney in 2006, after performing in the parisian underground scene, playing around Sydney in a former lineup through 2009-2012, searching for some rocking Aussie influences to complement her music and completed their first 4-track EP "L'irreversible". Their influences come from dirty 90's grunge, rock and punk and are known for their hectic but entertaining live shows. The trio is writing and performing new songs playing high energy gigs around Sydney & Newcastle - ready to invade your personal space.
