Mayumi Mullins is a solo artist based in Melbourne. She bloomed as a songwriter in 2017 with her songs Rebeginning, Daydreams and Lucky Streak. She grew up in Sydney with lessons in classical violin, flute, drums and guitar and she played in bands Sunshine Harvester and You Minx in Melbourne early on in her time as a songwriter, and developed the confidence to perform solo upon releasing her first three songs in a very lucky music opportunity she obtained to record with two of the best musicians in Australia who she keeps anonymous, one of whom had taught her music. She loves classical-influenced music such as the French artist Coeur de Pirate, the American artist Vienna Teng, and the ever-popular Birdy as well as local artists.
