MAZ is a 27 year old musician born in Dublin, Ireland and raised in Baltimore, Maryland USA. She returned to Ireland to study medicine and is currently working in Perth, Western Australia. Growing up, MAZ's house was always filled with music, especially U2, Norah Jones and Billy Joel, which were major sources of inspiration in her songwriting for many years. Nowadays the artists that inspire her most are Gabrielle Aplin, Billie Eilish, and Taylor Swift. MAZ is preparing to release her debut album later this year. The songs you are hearing today were recorded in a family-run studio in Wembley, Perth. Her lyrics are heartfelt and beautifully capture the detail of the world around her - in a way that is rare and refreshingly authentic.
