“Hip hop music is huge now in Australia– it used to be all about rock but hip hop is what the new generation wants to hear,” said Julian Lancey, aka MC AnzaK who has peformed locally and internationally, including in New York City. “A lot of our tracks are about the local Sydney scene, because we’ve always lived it, and grown up here! “ Now we want to grow the hip hop scene here in Sydney and take it all over Australia, aiming for a national tour in the near future.” AnzaK are a Sydney hip hop group, hailing from both sides of Sydney's beaches - Bondi and Manly. The group was started by Julian(Mc AnzaK) and Mickey(Morphingaz) and have been rocking the Sydney music scene for two years. With two albums under their belt, they’re now releasing their latest album ‘Bridging the Gap’, which MC AnzaK says is “unique, positive and very funny!” AnzaK brings an original take to the hip hop genre, adding their own brand of entertainment to the mixing decks with a diverse range of instruments
