Connect began rapping and producing HipHop in the late 2000’s performing at house parties and local venues in Western Sydney. In 2011, Connect began releasing raw lo-fi hiphop tracks online, garnering a dedicated local and international following. Connect released his debut EP, The Blue Pause, in 2017 which marked his maturity as a producer, rapper, and artist who seamlessly steps between genres and styles. In 2018 Connect formed Rock/HipHop duo, Light from a Stranger (LFAS) with Jyder and they released their debut EP, Grey Area in 2019. Performing regularly in venues across Sydney, LFAS were hamstrung by the pandemic. Following the solid AusRap releases of Passion for the Passion and I'm Lucky in 2020 and 2021, MC Connect returned to the scene and stage in 2023 with Kenyan-native Sr. Malakai releasing the chill Afrobeats/AusRap/RNB single 'Karma' in November 2023. Sr. Malakai and MC Connect wowed crowds in venues across Sydney, and have a busy release schedule in store for 2024!
