Edit history

Forming in late 2005, MDK began as five Melbourne-based musicians' unique take on an already established style, and an expression of the various elements punk and hardcore music had to offer. With a shared love of the local music scene, the band members were found regularly at venues across Melbourne, drawing drive and inspiration from the tireless efforts of their peers. Armed with their own brand of Melodic Punk, MDK recorded their first Demo at Melbourne Records before branching out to spread their name. Fast forward nearly two years and you can tell their "make or break" philosophy has paid off, having shared the stage with the likes of Parkway Drive, Behind Crimson Eyes, I Killed The Prom Queen, Awayfromnow and Irrelevant. MDK's Debut EP "Front Lines, Dark Times" was recorded over the summer of 2007. Mixed at Back Beach Studios and mastered by Steve Smart at Studio 301 in Sydney, their debut EP is set to further entrench their names in the Aussie punk/hardcore scene.
