Meander rose as a phoenix from the ashes of various solo and collaborative projects of the two core members, Selena and Birrel. After a chance meeting, the two set about developing a genre-defying sound which blends elements of Jazz, Folk and Pop. Now settled in Sydney after cutting her teeth in the London scene, Selena's slinky vocals have graced stages around the world, from the Edinburgh Fringe to the Tamworth Country Music Festival. Birrel leads a similarly nomadic lifestyle which has seen him travel and perform in most parts of the world, from the Middle East to New Zealand. With an EP planned for release in June and a tour of Europe, 2007 promises much for meander
