Melbourne singer/songwriter Melissa Ramsay is one of the Australia's emerging alternative indie pop artists. She first became interested in writing her own music when she listened to City and Colour. 2015 saw the release of ‘Ghosts', a high energy dance song in collaboration with ARIA Award winning Feenixpawl as well as 'Home' with Feenixpawl, Bynon and Project 46. 'Loaded', by Just A Gent featuring Melissa’s vocals, was released in 2016. This saw Melissa accompanying Just a Gent on stage and performing the song live at Splendour in the Grass Festival.
Her ethereal 2019 debut single 'Halo' produced and mixed by Hayden Francis (Woodes, Wolfjay), was premiered by Purple Sneakers and described as "soul-tinged, minimal electronic at its best." 2020 has produced a string of releases such as Ramsay’s second single ‘Promises’ produced and mixed by Hayden Francis, featured on Amazing Radio and Wolf in a Suit, and ‘Alone’ with Naes London amassing over 75k Spotify streams.
