Formed out of an over-riding desire to create rather than any delusions of grandeur, Meloidae take a casual and comfortable approach to creating a sound that feels good. It’s not about doing something other people will obsess about, it’s about being in a moment and enjoying what the present brings through rhythm and melody. Meloidae enjoy what they do and they hope that you can enjoy it too. Pulling influences from the modern pop music of Florence and the Machine to the dark vibes of early Arcade Fire and ethereal Radiohead, Meloidae sound familiar, pleasing and thoughtful. Trying to be pop music, sometimes too much, often not enough, but always underpinned by a rhythm and a melody that hook. There’s a cleanliness to the vocals, a low bottom end and dirty lead sounds thatnever get old, that continue growing, and always feel good.
