Auckland's Memory Foam is the brain child of local Noise-smith and Indie Stalwart Sam Moore (Flying Nun's Bad Energy, Invisible Threads). Combining crushing, effect-laden guitar work with a high-energy rhythm section, psychotic synth and striking bi-lingual vocals, this is searing, vital music for our beautiful, ugly, diverse city. Memory Foam's debut single 'Burn Up' is the perfect introduction to the band. Fast, striking and unruly, Moore's guitar is reminiscent of early Fu Manchu (only faster) and the rhythm is simple and excitable, setting the pace for Sam Webb's piercing synth lines and Japanese punk obsessive Yuko Miyoshi's schitzy punk vocals. 'Perfect Pussy', 'Tropical fuck storm', 'Idles' and 'Savages' can all be heard in Memory foam's fun, noise filled songs!
