Playing the South West Slopes style, Merkin emerged from the minds of Hank and Biff over 10 years ago. Armed with low fi equipment they set about creating an endless stream of ferrous recordings covering all genres of known and unknown sound. Classic albums followed such as Weargorgan, Biffnesshank, Marchares, No bob, In the bag, Connected at birth the list is endless in 2006 Merkin recorded 17 albums and released the compilation Slopes which was greedly brought up by 23 fans. Merkin has kept to its roots and plays infrequently at Trevs shed, The Tourist and Toast, but is considering moving into the 20th century soon with a web site and new posters. Merkin continue to expose the human condition in away that no other band is prepared to songs such as I want my manhood back, Horrospital, 2 foot tony and I'm a nutcase and I love you challange even the most seasoned punter, but one thing is for sure you will love it.
