MERLIN is creating music that above all seeks to tell stories. Undulating melodies, strong choruses, guitars and synthesizers are often paired in contrast. The lyrics, sung in a soft voice, evoke melancholy, desire, nostalgia, regret, and other feelings which, combined in the manner of surrealist collages, paint personal and poetic images. The result is a pleasant dreamy bittersweet impression.
