Merryn Jeann is a supple and sophisticated vocalist and songwriter with the lyrical powers of a precise and sensitive poet. At times soft - like a lover gently whispering into your ear, and at other times cinematic – Merryn’s music is fragile, vividly visual and achingly honest. Inspired by daring visionaries like Nina Simone, Arthur Russell, Nick Drake, Astrud & João Gilberto, Merryn attempts to follow suit and to “practice honesty” in a world so often filled with dishonesty. “When there is honesty and conviction, you can fall in love.”
