Mervyn Andre Small, born November 21st , South Africa – better known as ‘Merv Mac’ or ‘the hype man' from BREED, Merv Mac has branched out from his group BREED to pursue a much anticipated solo career. Past Born in South Africa, and moving to Sydney at a young age, Merv quickly established himself in the South African community where he met Darren Jarome, Gregs & Clint. The soon to become BREED BOYS were heavily influenced by Jodeci, Boys II Men and soulful D’Angelo. Knowing what they had to do, and at the prime of their early teens – the boys quickly attracted the attention of local producers and club promoters and established themselves as a major force in the Australian urban scene. BREED’s flow is soulful, yet edgy. Giving intensity and drive to the R&B/Hip Hop industry that we are typically used to.
