MICHAEL CLAY BIOGRAPHY Known to his fans and friends as Michael Clay, was born in June, 1984. He spent his formative years listening to the classical sounds of Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven and Mozart. These influences served as a solid foundation in his early life, and an inspiration in his future career. At four years of age, Clay’s love of music saw him charging family and friends the hefty fee of fifty cents to attend his concerts, usually staged on his front veranda. Soon after, a piano was added to the family home, and Clay formed an instant bond with the instrument, one which still thrives today. He plays, and has a passion for, both piano and guitar. Experimenting with melodies and harmonies from an early age, Clay wrote his first piano Waltz, for his grandmother, at the tender age of twelve. He later composed a digital score for this piece.
