Raised in the beautiful Perth hills, singer/songwriter Michael Day’s music inspires listeners to ask questions about the world, reflect on personal struggles and consider what is really important in life. His indie folk rock flavoured music melts around you as you listen to moody soundscapes full of cleverly layered guitar and banjo melodies, driving rhythms and soulful harmonies. Day has spent a great deal of time working on thought-provoking lyrics to match and he shares his feelings and experiences and invites the listener into a conversation about what we value. 2021 was a big year for the singer/songwriter and his band as their song ‘Storm’ was nominated for the WAM Song of the Year and they played at Blues at Bridgetown Music Festival, Edge of the Bay Festival Esperance supporting Dulcie and Mitchel Martin, Gidgestock and The Scene with Blake Williams. Day and his band have played alongside the likes of Joan and the Giants, Coterie, Dulcie, Vdelli, Donna Simpson, and Kat Wilson
