"You cannot achieve what you have not first imagined" - Michael's philosophy of life extends to crafting musical tenderness; writing lyrics that speak deep into our hearts and backing up his simple haunting melodies with his rich, deep voice that has been described as "raw", "expressive" and "moving". Playing under the solo artist name of Wish To Be Flying, Michael has an increasing repertoire of original songs with his own unique folk-roots style. Michael adds to these original songs by playing to his strengths, with acoustic lounge style covers of well-known music of several generations, including recent pop songs, rock classics, gospel, blues, and even a little jazz. Michael's easy-listening style lends itself to being part of your relaxing evening with friends; sharing a drink and good times while you relax to the music, with plenty of opportunities to sing along to your favourites. Michael grew up travelling around the world, returning to Australia after finishing high school
