Adelaide is known for some pretty influential artists, and Michaela Keast is aiming to be the next. At 23 years of age, Michaela can't remember a time where she wasn't singing. "I was reading and writing before I could walk, so I wrote a lot of poetry and songs as a kid. When I was 7, I begged my mum to let me take vocal lessons, and I never looked back." Michaela finds influence from everywhere. She's always listening to new releases, searching for interesting sounds and production techniques to help take her music to the next level. Michaela's sound is based off of pop melodies and catchy tunes, citing pop princesses including Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift as some of her biggest influences. After taking an online production course during the COVID-19 pandemic, Michaela began focusing more seriously on her music. Her genre-altering covers and bedroom-pop style has gained her thousands of views on TikTok and Youtube, with overwhelmingly positive feedback.
