Strong, feminine, honest and a bit smart-assed; Michelle Martinez’s own brand of Vintage soul is making a name for itself in the Australian music industry. Honing her craft as one of the busiest vocalists in Sydney she’s played venues from The Basement and the Toff (Melbourne) to the Myer Music Bowl and Acer Arena with everyone from Smokey Robinson and Robbie Williams to Silverchair, Paul Mac and Jessica Mauboy. Her debut EP peaked at #1 on the Australian iTunes Soul/RnB Album chart and recent collaborations have earned her a top 5 spot on the UK Upfront Club Chart, a top 10 spot in the ARIA club chart and several appearances on American, Australian and UK Hed Kandi and MOS compilations. In an age of fast food, fast living and antisocial media, someone’s bringing the romance back – and it’s Michelle Martinez.
