Nayan Jakobsen and Teit Voss form the Copenhagen based duo Acetate Caliphate. They explore the musical traditions and genres from a wide range of middle eastern contries. Combined with the aesthetics of instrumental hiphop, a powerful cinematic sound image is generated on the album's 9 tracks. The primary focus is to support the middle eastern sound with heavy drums and deepfelt bass.
