After an extended musical hiatus, 3 of the 5 members of the late Sydney pop group Low Lux have emerged anew with the pop-centric sounds of Midlife. The Sydney natives are beyond pumped to announce the release of their debut single Kavorka, and simultaneously reveal that they exist to the world. Midlife was originally conceived as Arms Akimbo the solo project of Low Lux drummer JoshBush (and formerly Bridezilla) in late 2016. Later joined by Low Lux Alumni Alex Dawson and Lehi Curtis as well as Tom Sheer, Tess Wilkin and Oliver Marlan to form the 6 piece ensemble. Midlife's influences are decidedly varied ranging from disco and boogie to post-punk, electronica and straight up pop tunes. Their debut single Kavorka has elements of indie-pop, early 90's post-hardcore, and even has a few subtle Max Martin references thrown in there.
