In the year 1709, an alien spaceship landed on planet Earth. The prophetic rulers of planet Rion had looked far into the future of the universe and had seen a sight that had frightened them more than anything else they had ever seen; a world without music, without sound. They knew there was only one hope for the salvation of existence as we know it, and so they launched a spaceship carrying a vital new piece of technology out into space. This spaceship landed on Earth, and after assuming mind control of a human being named Bartolomeo, they began to infiltrate Earth society with the new technology aboard their spaceship. As far as the people of earth knew, Bartolomeo Cristofori built the worlds very first piano in the year 1709. It became an amazingly popular musical instrument and virtuoso pianists seemed to come out of thin air to create musical works that became part of Earth history.
