Milky Thred are a 2-piece teenage indie surf rock band from Newcastle, Australia. Formed in late 2016 as a high school project, they soon exploded as one of the most exciting ones to watch in Newcastle’s vibrant all ages scene. The band have copped triple j airplay on previous singles, as well as supported acts like Hockey Dad at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre, West Thebarton, The Vanns, Twin Peaks (US), Gooch Palms and Press Club. In Jan 2020 they also played their first festival, ‘Rolling Sets’ alongside Hilltop Hoods, The Rubens, Lime Cordiale and Mallrat. Following a steady stream of singles since 2017, the band are finally ready to unleash their debut EP on the world, featuring lead single ‘Slug’.
