2020 is the year, Melbourne-based artist Minorfauna (Abbey Hansen) comes through stronger and louder than ever before. Her debut EP, ‘Myself’ which was released in 2018, explored themes of betrayal, loss, the fantasies of vengeance and the looming doom such a pursuit can bring. Her first release for the new decade ‘Cooler Than Me’ serves as an expansion in terms of her experimental, genre-bending sound while maintaining the cut-throat intention she's always had but with further conviction. Transforming dark reflections into comedic relief, Minorfauna has struck a balance in finding power from crappy experiences without compromising her ability to love and have fun. ‘Cooler Than Me’ is be supported by a music video that’s personal to the artist shot over various rural locations in Country NSW, ACT and VIC including Wagga Wagga, The Murray River and a cute place called Boomahnoomoonah with one of her best friends, Jesse Vogelaar.
