Bringing together a combination of dedication, passion and a broad range of musical influences gives Minus Penny their unique rock based, pop-punk sound. Their live show is a no-holds barred frenzy of energy, enthusiasm and down right entertainment which has the ability of holding a room in silence with a vocal line coated in sugar, to amassing a crowd of thrashing bodies with punching breakdowns. With onstage chemistry that can almost be tasted, a Minus Penny show doesn’t leave you when you leave the show. As one fan states; “their music is like a creaming soda ice cream spider that sticks to your auditory ossicles and stays on repeat in your mind for days. Fizzy with a velvet layer” Forming late 2006 in the sunny town of Cairns, Minus Penny began playing shows and writing original music. After slogging it out at high school after-parties and making their way into the Cairns club scene, Minus Penny recorded their first EP “Far From Forgotten Fires” and began to make a name for
