Minute Major is the battered offspring of the minds of Simon Connolly and Joe Foley; playing energetic rock music that runs the gamut from down home country rockin’ through to rhythmically propelled noise pop. He was joined in June 2005 by Joe, as song writing partner and Bass player. Their first E.P. “Irrepressible” was recorded in a big old house in Fitzroy, mixed by Calum Orr at Digital Zero studios and released independently in august 2005 by the band. A Film clip for the track ‘Wardrobe’ was shot in November 2005 by up and coming Melbourne director Jessica Leski, it can currently be viewed at www.youtube.com. Between November 2005 and March 2006, many gigs were played, beers drunk and hearts won… and the band took a break to record their second E.P. With the working title ‘Irresponsible,’ it has been recorded by Calum
