Biography Singing came naturally to me as a young girl at the age of 7. My family and I migrated to Australia non-English speaking, but I somehow learnt and sang along to the songs I heard on the radio. I never realized I had a good singing voice until I was 15, auditioning for a lead role in a school play. My drama teacher was the one to point it out to me. For the most part of my teenage years, I listened to artists like Tupac Shakur, Cypress Hill, Notorious B.I.G, Mary J Blige and my all time favorite, Lauryn Hill. So, I guess I was a Hip-Hop head all round! I started going to church at the age of 17 and quickly got into gospel music. I learnt a lot about music and my love for it through singing in the church choir. Having gone through a hard upbringing, music was also my escape and I would write and sing about my pain and struggles. As time progressed, I got married, had a child and juggled motherhood, work and worship leading. I gained more experience and confidence in my art
