Miss Mud is a songwriter from Melbourne, Australia. Her interest in music started as a child obsessing over Video Hits, but she began putting pen to paper and writing songs in 2018. In 2020, Miss Mud wrote the bones of her debut release, Dusty, in her bedroom. She teamed up with Spike Leo to bring the song to life, resulting in a chilled, house track. Dusty is a song about being in a relationship with someone who is suffering from addictions. In this case, 'Dusty’ is a euphemism for drugs. The song reaches an epiphany that the other person will always prioritise an opportunity to act out their addictive behaviour over their relationship with you. Miss Mud is currently working on new music.
