Mollimór was re-named in 2016 – as more accurate representation of our style & range of music. We play traditional, original and “borrowed” songs and tunes, often merging together. Frank, Pete, Kate & Ben share vocals & harmonies, and all members have contributed some original works to the repertoire. Tunes range from lyrical, beautiful slow flute or fiddle melodies,through rhythmic reels & marches, to rollicking jigs & muineras. We are revelling in the lively music of the French & Spanish Celtic regions – Galicia, Asturia, Brittany. Arranging this music to showcase the skills of the band members and create a great listening experience is a pleasure for the members of Mollimór.
