The band first started in 2008 as a creative release and refreshing change for lead vocalist Jayme van Keulen-Brain along with Alex Marsden, Mike Lynch and Joel Williamson. Starting out as 'Burning Ships' and playing a small amounts of shows, a realization that this was a great thing was made, the fat was trimmed and dedication was tested. As time progressed the band grew into something more than a side project. With only two of the four members from the original line-up, the Mom, Dad and the Kids of today burns with a passion to not only do what they love, play music, but also spread the love of Christ. Made up of Jayme van Keulen-Brain (vocals) Rob McNab (guitar), Alex Marsden (drums) and Jed Laloh (bass) the band has collaborated with Youth Alive, Warship Productions, Hopeful Productions and more recently Deadwalk Bookings, they have played alongside bands such as Perth’s ever amazing 'Vanity', eastern states legends 'Creations', the jaw dropping 'Statues' and metal heavyweights
