Money Killed Jonny moves through roots, jazz, soul, blues and world influences with all the class and style of a film noir classic. Subtle, complicated, angry, joyous and beautiful, Money Killed Jonny pushes, pulls, stretches and hammers at all the boundaries of genre, form and market. Arrangements with guts and grit. Lyrics with a rip your heart out honesty. And an intoxicating rhythm that puts its arms around you and hugs you till all the pain dulls to a gentle sway. There’s all the classic smoky sleaze, lust and drama you find in any B&W classic, and a whole lot of fun, laughter and dancing too. "Cool Hand" is the second album. Now available from Birdland and at gigs.
