Growing up the only girl (and youngest sibling) in a family of boys, Monica’s childhood home in the tropics of North Queensland, was filled with adventure and exploration of the natural world. The passionate twenty year old singer/songwriter, draws inspiration from her own life experience. Performing from 10 years of age, her love for song writing was born around the same time, weaving it’s way all throughout life ever since. At just fifteen, Monica won the renowned Wintermoon festival’s all ages song writing competition. With lyrics of meaning, emotive keys and pure vocals; combined; Monica Adair brings a distinct sound to Indie-pop.
