MONICANS emerged from the ether of the cityscape of Perth in 2007, instantly lulling the local scene into a sense of bliss with their psychedelia-drenched rock-punk-pop stylings. After the advent of their demo EP, they mounted a charge into a brave new world, hitting Europe in 2009 with their big white van and even bigger experimental sounds, sleeping in parking lots and bringing music to the people. They killed stages everywhere from Ireland to Bulgaria, eventually laying down roots in the same place as so many of their predecessors, Sheffield, England. This gave rise to the birth of an era. MONICANS continued their scene-shaking ways in the UK, establishing themselves as a fixture, gracing iconic venues such as THE BOARDWALK and THE LEADMILL and a headlining slot at the TRAMLINES FESTIVALS by night, hitting the studio unrelentingly by day.
