From the edges of the galaxy comes a brand new live cosmic experience... MONSOON MOON are Australia's latest live electronic ensemble. This 5-piece lay down lush pads with cranking beats in a broad spectrum of improvised electronic styles. From breaks to psytrance or drum'n'bass to chill-out, MONSOON MOON recreate a live audio and visual experience that is taking the underground electronic scene by storm. After encountering a live performance from these incredibly talented astronauts at Earthcore 2007, it is no surprise that each member has completed degrees in music improvisation. Watch out for MONSOON MOON's E.P. to be released later in 2008. It's inevitable that their gravitational force will capture your ears and eyes at some point in time.. - Andrew McKenzie, Lonesome E-zine

I used to run around the country in a DJ duo called COMMAND Q. The other member was Loui, my best bud and we met while studying classical music at Uni. *insert generic how we met story*. We were classically trained DJ’s who played drums and ran around stage like idiots jumping up and down. And it was great! The whole Skrillex/Diplo movement. We were tied into it like fleas on a dog. Trap, dubstep, more “wubs” and “woops” than a helicopter. We released 2 EP’s and 16 singles and performed 5 AUST/NZ tours over 5 years. But sadly, the party scene was becoming lost on us. We felt tired and worn down by it, sensing a deeper need to express ourselves with greater emotional contrast. Maybe change is inevitable as an artist as you grow and change? All I know now is I want to express myself beyond throwing dabs in an underground dungeon with ravers. And I hope I can give that to you with Monsoon Moon.
