Hailing from Brisbane, Australia, Moon Saloon's (aka Charlie Grainger) dreamy melodies and sadly beautiful lyrics quickly found space on national platforms. Since the release of her debut EP “MARK ST” in 2020 (an ode to her old neighbourhood) Moon Saloon has joined the stage with Australian artists like Stella Donnelly, Charlie Collins and Tim Hart of Boy and Bear fame. Having only just begun the project as the pandemic unfolded, Charlie wrote and co-produced her forthcoming EP “Apples” in 2021. Showcasing a range of sonic expressions throughout the album. Each song represents a fragment of the whole, like wedges of a cut-up apple. From the indie-pop feel of Write-off Year to the brooding electronica of Waiting/Watching, the six track EP is an exploration of humanness – reflecting on themes around desire, hope, depression, hindsight, death, and spam emails. Apples is available on all platforms.
