A singer for as long as I can remember, I took up bass a few years ago. The rhythmic and harmonic feel of bass fit in with my musical tendencies, and soon I was using the instrument to help my songwriting. This song in particular grew out of a bass line that came into my head while suffering from post-travel culture shock. I had just returned from five weeks in Laos and Cambodia, and the wealth and comfort of Australian life made me wonder... What Do We Know?
