MOROCCAN KNIGHTS 7 TRACK EP OUT JULY 6! When Portland based Josh Rawiri, Hayden Joyce and Kris McDonald started jamming a year ago, a hearty deep south sound was borne - somewhere between southern blues, alt rock and pop dipped in the 70's. Josh and Kris both on electric guitar weave between melodic riffs and blues distortion allowing Josh's lead vocals to venture from smooth to psychedelic. Hayden on the drums lends a rocky beat to those who can't sit still. " The band started off as a kind of experiment", Josh states, "Our location being the only common thread, both Hayden and Kris playing in several hard rock bands and myself used to performing solo folky blues, we came to a place where our music was full of discovery, adventure, rawness and plain old fun". The upcoming EP Launch tour will be filmed by ABC Open for part two of the triple j ' road trip relay' series which will be aired on ABC News 24.
