Moscow Schoolboy's live history is littered with frightening occurrences- a tour of Brisbane culminating in a beach-sprint by naked, drug-fuelled fans, a gig in 2006 resulting in both an orgy and a long-time phone stalker. Their new EP, Black Dogs, explores a similarly dark territory. Inhabiting both the squalid residence of swampy psychedelic punk and the warm, hip-shaking affections of luscious pop rock, Black Dogs was produced by Tim Johnston, who was chosen for his work with Nick Cave & the Badseeds, Dallas Crane, Even and Tex Perkins. Moscow Schoolboy garnered a lot of attention in 2006, receiving widespread airplay for tracks on their debut EP: My Sister and the Devil. Songs were given rotation on JJJ and stations Australia wide. JJJ also featured the band in their J Mag and a segment on JTV. They quickly followed this up with a tour and support slots with The Infadels (UK), Midnight Juggernauts and their now infamous residency at Melbourne’s Tote Hotel. Live, Moscow
