Edit history

Ms.45 began in late 2016 as a solo project and song-writing vessel for vocalist/keyboardist Ella Jackson (formerly of Crimsonettes). Having spent her life obsessed with horror and exploitation films of the 70s and 80s, Ella wanted to create music reminiscent of the soundtracks to these films but with a pop edge. The band name, Ms.45, is a nod to her favourite exploitation film of the 1980s. After spending a year as purely a bedroom recording project, Ella finally got a band together in late 2017 and headed into the studio to record her first EP “Neuromancer” with John Lee at Phaedra Studios (Totally Mild, Lost Animal). The last year has been a busy year for the band since then, with countless gigs, 2 single releases and much more to come. Debut EP Neuromancer will be released October 26 independently and the debut album is already being recorded.
