Continuing on from the ashes of a garagey hard rock band called Black Mile Rain in the early noughties, in the south-eastern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, Mudguts has striven to produce it's own take on classic Rock and Metal with a twist. Very much a "Live" band, nevertheless there have been 3 demo EP/album releases; "Rough As", "Tasty" and "And Then...". A fourth has been attempted, but the band has not been happy with the results and has put it on hold for the immediate future. Having said that though, the band has received generous and constant airplay on local radio, especially on WA station, Heritage FM (107.3), had an appearance on the late and lamented Channel 31's "The Couch" repeated approximately a dozen times. The band played at the first Westdale Rock and had an amazing response, people running from their campsites to get down the front, after retiring for the night, not realizing what was coming. The observation deck filled up, merchandise being sold out, no
