Muma Ganoush, formed mid 2019, have been turning heads for the last year through front woman Shelby Wilton's strikingly honest lyricism and intricate musicianship. Made up of members from bands such as Zoe Fox & The Rocket Clocks, Easy Browns & Gena Rose Bruce, the band is an eclectic, experienced trio who are determined to bring a fresh sound to the Australian indie rock scene. The music of Muma Ganoush music is an amalgamation of that of indie rock, pop, and psych, with beautiful chords fused with a driving, dreamlike energy that at once brings forth feelings of tension and passivity. Wilton's dynamic style of songwriting is influenced by acts such as Jaala, Deerhunter and Omni.
