Alternative rap artist MUMBALA thrives in the behind-the-scenes. Dubbed ‘President of the D.I.Y. Society’ by Triple J Unearthed, MUMBALA does it by himself, his way—whether that’s making beats with Garageband and a $30 eBay mic, or crafting songs with an actual program and a real mic. Bedroom hip-hop indeed. Every beat, every song, and every music video is conceptualised in that Brissy bedroom. He even freestyles his lyrics: D.I.Y. to the extreme. From “Race Car”, to his newest single “Will We Be”, MUMBALA has never stumbled on his effortlessly smooth beats and catchy lyrical confessions. So really, we’re just living in a MUMBALA world.
